The health and safety of our customers and staff at Ely Fudge Company are our top priority.
In light of the current Coronavirus outbreak, Louise and Jes would like to inform you of the position regarding the opening of our shop. We closed on 22nd March 2020 and were able to reopen on 15th June 2020. We have written confirmation from ECDC that we were safe and legally allowed to open during the November lockdown and are Covid secure. Due to the current lockdown, we have decided to close our doors temporarily from 1st January 2021.
There have been some changes to the shop since we have reopened in June 2020, including having hand sanitiser available, having screens across the counter, only taking card payments, operating a rule of 1 household in the shop at any one time (includes a maximum of two adults) and having a 'no touch' policy on 'off the shelf' products.
In line with government advice, all customers who enter the shop MUST wear a suitable face covering unless they have a medical exemption.
We would like to remind our customers that we always maintain high standards of hygiene and we will be taking extra precautions because of Covid-19 to give our customers peace of mind when visiting and purchasing from us.
We are currently following all government advice. Therefore, we respectfully ask for your patience whilst these precautions are being implemented, as more handwashing will be taking place in addition to a robust cleaning and hygiene schedule.
We will regularly update this page with any relevant changes as they occur.
